Internal battle of two wits

I'm really not sure where I am going with this post. You know that quote "Nothing will ruin your twenties more than thinking you should have your life together", it got me thinking should I not worry what to do with my life because I'm so young. I by noway have my life figured out and I feel like a lot of other people are like that as well but I can't help thinking what the hell am I doing with my life. Where the hell am I going?
I moved to New York over nine months ago and although I love it over here, it has not shed any light on what I want to do with  life. Which I thought it would have. I sit contemplating how others do it and what am I doing wrong and I realized that I am just not trying as hard as I could be. I am lazy. I am indeed my own worst enemy. The question is how does one defeat ones own self? You are fighting an internal battle between two wits. Part of me wants to go out and really give my far fetched ideas a chance of becoming reality and other parts of me are too comfortable in the life I lead, despite being unhappy at the circumstances. Too afraid to fail. For me I feel that life always does have away of working itself out, but I've always had to do something in order to change the path I was traveling. Should I just throw caution to the wind and go for it or should I remain careful in my actions. I'll figured it out eventually. However, as of right now the battle continues on.
